Experience that supports better business decisions
My name is Maciej Wierzbowski. I have worked in the stainless steel industry for 30 years, primarily in purchasing, supplier development and international trade.
I created METALINK Consulting to give companies practical support grounded in experience across the supply chain — with mills, service centres, distributors and industrial customers.
30 years in stainless steel
My experience covers purchasing in Europe and Asia, sourcing new suppliers, commercial negotiations, import support and diversification of supply sources.
I have worked with partners in Türkiye, India, Vietnam, China, Japan, Taiwan and Korea. This has taught me how commercial practices, supply organisation and relationship building differ between markets.
Export experience
I also have around 10 years of export experience. I combine a buyer’s perspective with practical knowledge of international sales development and customer expectations.
I use this background to support Asian producers considering entry into Poland or the wider European Union market.
Practical support for companies
- assessment of purchasing needs and supply situation,
- supplier sourcing and assessment of potential supply directions,
- preparation and management of enquiries,
- negotiation support,
- development of supplier and customer relationships,
- support in organising purchasing processes or entering a new market.
I do not replace legal, tax, customs or technical specialists. When a project requires their expertise, I define that boundary clearly.
How I work
- Direct contact — you work with one person responsible for the cooperation.
- Business first — we begin with the situation and the objective.
- Clear scope — responsibilities and limitations are stated openly.
- Long-term view — the goal is a relationship built on trust and measurable progress.
